microphone for lung impaired Quadriplegic

Hello, have found, after Much trial and error with many mics, that an Edutige ETM-008 ($61 with ext cord and clip) directional microphone works well when clipped to user collar and faces mouth. Threshold set to 4. Key is proximity to mouth (shirt collar clip) and direction of mic.

Am using the mic to enable MOVI voice control of an eating and drinking robotic arm for my quadriplegic brother in law (ski accident). Assuming mic is pointing toward mouth- it works quite well to consistently and accurately pick up low volume voice commands and Not pickup ambient noise- such as a ballgame on the TV 4 ft away. Pricey but does this specific job well and seems well built. I have no relationship or interest with Edutige.
